Hello friends, I hope this note finds you well. I love October and autumn in general - I know I’m not alone. For me it’s the promise of cooler weather and the energy of the season. The days are getting shorter which inspires coziness and turning inward. And of course, fall evenings are a perfect time for tea! The other day as I sat in tea ceremony with a loved one, I was full of joy and emotion. I thought when this life is done, I hope I will be remembered by moments like these; the quiet, simple, and loving acts of sharing space and nourishment. I don’t mean to sound morbid, but it was a good reminder that life is found in every moment, in the milestone and in the mundane. Below are a few events happening this month, a new class I’m teaching at KIN on Wednesday mornings, and donation-based tea sits I’m hosting in my home workspace in Burbank. I hope you can join me.
